Duties and Responsibilities:- Logs issues and notify/escalate to appropriate personnel via established protocols- Solves, or assists others in solving, both routine and non-routine issues- Manages automated monitoring applications and responds immediately to any alert received- Processes requests via telephone, e-mail, and other delivery methods to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of issues- Documents procedures on systems monitoring- Configures servers and resolves hardware and OS issues- Provides technical assistance for various projects - Prepares activity reports as needed - Responds to requests for support from our external and internal monitoring packages as well as Tier 1 support technicians- Works with various teams throughout the organization to streamline processes- Process documents for IT Support Staff and other Teams as needed- Provides feedback on systems usage and security- Maintains corporate confidence in all matters- Deploys OS patches to test and production servers. Manages server component of the patch deployment application - Identifies technologies and deployment scenarios to support improvements to business continuance and to increase security- Participates in on-call coverage of technical support and backup support, in addition to regularly scheduled shifts, as needed. Punctuality, availability and reliability are crucial- Is willing to take on additional duties as neededRequired Skills and Experience:- Bachelor&#39;s degree in Computer Science or related degree or certifications, two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience- Minimum of 3 year of experience in a Systems Administrator role is preferred- Good communications skills -- written and verbal- Ability to achieve and excel in both individual and team roles- Previous Technical Support or Customer Service experience- Experienced in System Backup & Recovery- Must be proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel - Attention to detail in an often fast paced environment- Server configuration and troubleshooting- Demonstrated problem solving ability- You ideally have experience with one or more of these -- VEEAM, DDR, SCOM, VMware- Scripting experience desirable- Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check- Local candidates onlyJoin TEKsystems&reg; and get your career on the fast track.
