Position Description: The purposes of the Sr. Level Mechanical Engineer position are as follows: * Gather and process input from all disciplines that are involved in developing the functional requirements relating to existing physical design for improvement. * Analyze and enhance a physical design that meets the performance, cost and schedule goals of the project. * Manage the implementation of the design (and/or re-design) from Concept through Production Release in order to ensure that all physical goals are met. * Investigate new technologies and suppliers to leverage the best available resources for future product needs as well as products in work. Key Duties and Responsibilities: * Translate requirements into executable Mechanical Development plans. * Implement Mechanical Designs using SolidWorks tools. * Participate in field studies for Requirements Development and Design Validation. * Work with Suppliers to ensure Manufacturability of designs. * Follow established standards for Mechanical Design methodologies, implementation and documentation. * Participate in scheduling for Physical Design activities, as well as in the development of System Mechanical Architecture. * Be responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the Company''s quality system. This is an estimated 4-6 month contingent / temporary position in Bothell, WA, throughVolt Engineering Services, headquartered in Seattle, WA.
