<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. <BR>Follows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000.<BR>Removes and disassembles cells and inspects parts to detect defects.<BR>Replaces defective parts, reassembles battery, and fuses lead parts with gas torch.<BR>Fills cells with acid solution and determines specific gravity of solution.<BR>Adds acid or water to obtain specified concentration.<BR>Attaches charger leads to battery posts and starts charger.<BR>Reads meters and adjusts charge parameters to control time and flow of current through battery.<BR>Ability to perform discharge tests, evaluates results, and makes necessary repairs.<BR>Repairs battery charging equipment.<BR>Prepares new product for shipment.<BR>Properly unloads, stores, palletizes, and loads new, used, customer repair, and scrap batteries and chargers, potentially using both manual and/or electric pallet jacks and lift trucks.<BR>Assists with the installation and/or removal of motive/reserve power batteries and/or chargers.<BR>Operates material handling equipment per OSHA requirements.<BR>Maintains a safe, orderly, and clean working environment.<BR>Required Skills<BR>Qualifications:<BR>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
