Tacoma timber company has an immediate opening for an Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to provide systematic and comprehensive maintenance planning and control for the facility to ensure that maintenance activities are delivered in and efficient and productive manner. This position will participate in prioritization of work backlog, planning materials and work required to complete work orders, participating in scheduling work, and following up on completed work. JOB DESCRIPTION: * Works to assure the maintenance of a safe working environment on an on-going basis. * Contributes to implementation of shift annual maintenance plan objectives with particular emphasis on maximum machine uptime, lumber quality and operating maintenance costs. * Participates with maintenance and operations personnel in scheduling and organizing work orders and PMA?s in Guardian/CMMS systems. * Manages data pertaining to details of plant machinery maintains relates files. * Manages maintenance KPI's for daily maintenance performance reviews. * Participates in scheduling work to match labor availability and operation schedules. * Follows up on work completed to confirm successful resolution of problems, document results. * Provides strong daily communication on the status of on-going maintenance activities and priorities. * Provides for continuous operational / maintenance improvement. * Identifies mechanical, electrical or method changes that improve mill production, safety and quality performance. * Monitors maintenance repair and parts inventory levels for the department consistent with maximizing response time and minimizing inventory costs. * Assures work orders are properly filled out, reviewed and all necessary information is provided. * Identifies system inefficiencies and develop methods to deliver maintenance planning efficiently. * Assures that environmental standards are met and in compliance with Company guidelines through on site inspections, and respond immediately by taking corrective action when necessary. 16. Assumes other task as required to keep the facility running at maximum efficiency and capacity. HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE: Shifts: Day; later shifts as projects require JOB REQUIREMENTS: * High school diploma * Must have technical training in the maintenance/electrical field * Must have previous work experience in maintenance, preventative maintenance, and work order systems * Must have strong computer skills, including CMMS * Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical information PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Three (3) years experience in a Maintenance Planner position * Must have hands on experience in mechanical, electrical, computer, hydraulics, and welding SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS: DOE/DOQ + benefits Closing Date / Deadline: Open until filled TO APPLY: To apply for this position, please copy and paste the website address below into your internet address bar and click "Go".
