Simply follow the directions in the narrative below.</i></b><BR><BR>A Tacoma based pioneer in the formulation of high-performance plastics products is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.<BR><BR><b>Job Description:</b><BR>* Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principals of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.<BR>* Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.<BR>* Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.<BR>* Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.<BR>* Assures system product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation process.<BR>* Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends<BR>* Provides engineering information and project support to manufacturing plants, maintenance department, chemical lab, and quality department.<BR>* Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations<BR>* Maintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.<BR>* Completes projects by training and guiding technicians<BR>* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.<BR>* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.<BR><BR><b>Hours / Days / Schedule:</b><BR>Monday through Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm<BR><BR><b>Job Requirements:</b><BR><i>Your resume must reflect the following qualifications to receive a referral:</i><BR><b>Tobacco users need not apply!</b><BR>* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college<BR>* Five (5) years experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the fields of aerospace and defense manufacturing<BR>* Must have the ability to present technical information<BR>* Must be able to perform equipment maintenance<BR>* Must have conceptual, quality focus, general consulting, control engineering, production planning, technical planning, and thermal analysis skills<BR>* Must be proficient in Weld design analysis and Pump sizing and evaluation<BR>* Must have statistical and variation analysis techniques<BR>* Must have strong knowledge and familiarity of computerized analysis tools including, Solid Works Auto Cad Software, advanced Excel spreadsheets, CMMS, ERP systems and statistical analysis software.<BR>* Employer conducts pre-employment drug and tobacco screening, and criminal background investigation & reference checks <BR><BR><b>Salary / Wage / Benefits:</b><BR>$65,000 - $75,000 + benefits (medical, dental, vision, life & short-term disability ins.; 401(k), profit sharing; paid holidays, sick & vacation leave)<BR><BR><b>Closing Date / Deadline:</b><BR>Open until filled<BR><BR><b>TO APPLY: <BR>To apply for this position, please cut and paste the website address below into your internet address bar and click "Go".
