University Place candidates will be given hiring preference!To qualify for this job, youMUSThave:<BR>* 2+ years of experience performing outside sales (such as ad space or sponsorship solicitations) in a non-profit environment<BR>* 2+ years of event planning & volunteer coordination experience in a non-profit environment<BR>* A Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a similar area of study (or equivalent relevant experience)<BR>* Experience maintaining websites, including experience updating, adding, or changing content & layouts<BR>* Good computer proficiency & accurate data entry skills<BR>* Strong professional communication skills & very polished writing skills<BR>* The ability to pass a criminal background check & drug screen<BR>You must be professional and have exceptional people skills, including the ability to interact with the President and Board of Directors, as well as with the business owners and managers of large and small companies that you will interact with to obtain donations.? We need someone who is self-motivated, confident, and energetic!You&#8217;ll be responsible for:<BR>* Obtaining individual, business, and corporate sponsorships for major events & soliciting donations for a local non-profit<BR>* Assisting with fundraising<BR>* Assisting with events planning, set-up & support<BR>* Acting as major point of contact for advertising, marketing, website upkeep, press releases & other needed information to keep the public informed of activities in support of underserved youth & senior recreation<BR>* Assisting the Grant Writer with research & information<BR>* Attending Board meetings as needed to present ideas, concepts & information<BR>* Other tasks as assignedRequired:2+ years of experience performing outside sales (such as ad space or sponsorship solicitations) in a non-profit environment. 2+ years of event planning & volunteer coordination experience in a non-profit environment.
