<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">In this Information Technology Specialist 4 job you’ll provide desktop and technical support to members of the Office of Human Resources (OHR) within our Tumwater office. Right away you’ll become familiar with our human resources information systems (HRIS) and assist in the redesign of the OHR intranet website. To be successful in this position you’ll assist the Senior Data Analyst in producing and analyzing human capital metrics. In time, you’ll complete statistical reports independent from review. Your success will also be evident through your collaboration and web design which results in an intranet site that HR supervisors feel they can use a reference tool for HR matters. This is not your everyday desktop support opportunity; it’s a unique opportunity to utilize your programming skills, web development skills, desktop support skills and customer service skills. <BR>In the first six months you’ll learn IT data processes for HR in order to serve as a backup for the Senior Data Analyst in their absence. Each day you’ll be the sought after desktop trouble shooter. You’ll use your customer service skills to respond to internal customer inquiries related to SAP data and other information related to personnel and payroll data analysis. You’ll be involved in an array of cutting edge projects that will impact this agency and the state of Washington for years to come. <BR>Some of what you’ll do:<BR>Act as a technical consultant providing IT related guidance and options on new and emerging technologies which would benefit the OHR team. <BR>Be accountable for hardware located in two training rooms in the Tumwater office. Assist customers with hardware and software installation in the training rooms as needed. <BR>Work with various state OHR teams, Department of Enterprise Services and Office of Financial Management regarding non-agency software and applications used at L&I. <BR>Plan and manage the procurement, installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of desktops, notebooks, printers and other peripherals used by OHR staff. <BR>Collaborate with other IT Unit staff in the agency to ensure consistency of business processes.<BR>Who should apply:<BR>IT professionals who are able to function as part of a team, can build rapport with co-workers and business customers to provide excellent customer service are strongly encouraged to apply. Professionals experienced using enterprise human resource information management systems (SAP preferred) are also strongly encouraged to apply. IT experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, installing and/or maintaining software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment is required. Professionals with demonstrated skills in HTML, XHTML, CSS, ASP, SQL, MS Expression Web, Adobe Acrobat, and MS office will be successful in this opportunity. <BR> What we’re looking for:<BR>Working knowledge of Network Architecture, Network Hardware, Network Services and TCP/IP. <BR>Detailed knowledge of Windows 7 and Active Directory. <BR>Working knowledge of Internet Searching and Technical Research. <BR>Demonstrated ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and the ability to operate highly technical equipment and/or software independently without benefit of classroom instruction. <BR>Able to independently apply advanced technical knowledge and considerable discretion to evaluate and resolve complex tasks. <BR>Able to use advanced diagnostic tools and personally resolve complex problems. <BR>Ability to listen attentively, identify issues, provide options, fulfill services and/or exercise knowledge of laws and regulations to assist others and/or resolve complaints or conflicts. <BR>Ability to express ideas and information.</font></td>
