It is to your advantage to apply today.<BR> <BR>The Medical Program Specialist provides analytical and research services in support of statewide health policy development, facilitates health policy research for the Office of the Medical Director's technology assessment program, facilitates stakeholder meetings and provisions of consultative services to internal and external L&I customers regarding health cost containment.<BR> <BR><BR>Some of what you will do<BR><BR>Plan, lead, organize and control Health Technology Assessment activities within the Office of the Medical Director.<BR><BR>Analyze and summarize levels of evidence from scientific studies relevant to the development of health technology assessments and evidence based coverage decisions. Background training of and past production should demonstrate skills consistent with this requirement.<BR><BR>Research, develop, coordinate and implement educational and training programs for internal and external staff on appropriate use of coverage policies.<BR><BR>Serve as the key L&I health technology and policy lead in coordinating with the State Health Technology Assessment Program.<BR><BR>Facilitate at stakeholder meetings and provide consultative services to internal and external L&I customers regarding health cost containment.<BR><BR>Conduct exploratory research into state regulations, practices of other states and businesses, and publications for potential applicability to L&I's health care technology assessment program, as well as the State Health Technology Assessment Program.<BR><BR>Provide technical assistance to the Industrial Insurance Medical Advisory and Industrial Insurance Chiropractic Committees.<BR> <BR><BR>Here is what we are looking for<BR><BR>Master's degree in public health, public administration, nursing, health administration, economics or closely allied field, and 3 years of supervisory or consultative experience in a health services program.<BR><BR>2 years of qualifying experience may be substituted for the master's degree provided a bachelor's degree in one of the above fields has been achieved.<BR><BR>OR<BR><BR>Experience developing and leading a major project or health policy initiative.<BR><BR>Experience with clinical trial methods or health technology assessment methods.</font></td>
