Works across functional teams within the company and is seen as a key contributor as he/she prepares and articulates on-boarding solutions to customers. Engages customers along the journey from discovery to on-boarding, building relationships with key customer by communicating essential technical and commercial information to them. Applies sound engineering judgment and customer service fundamentals. Uses Value Selling techniques to develop positive relationships with customers and maintain a balance of advocacy between the customer (VOC) and the organization (VOB). Is able to apply business acumen for ROI analysis when evaluating customer engineering needs.<BR><BR>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<BR><BR>Knowledgeable of company's goals, strategies and new market developments and works to drive commercial opportunities to achieve company goals. Identifies potential areas for new technology or product development necessary to meet trends in Micropump target markets. Recommends and contributes to the implementation of product solutions and/or enhancements that satisfy customer requirements. Identifies gaps in company product lines and recommends how they can be augmented to improve competitive advantage in the market space.<BR><BR>Aligns closely with Regional Sales Managers, distribution channels and customer service to advise on and prioritize appropriate solutions for varying applications and opportunities. <BR><BR>Helps to develop business in the field and develop business plans for customers. <BR><BR>Promotes Value Proposition of Micropump Solution utilizing IDEX value selling tools.<BR><BR>Maintains awareness of competitor activity. Offers strategies and countermeasures to protect and grow Micropump business based on competitor's advantages and disadvantages.<BR><BR>Presents training materials to a variety of audiences illustrating the function and performance of gear pump technology. <BR><BR>Attends and supports trade shows as Micropump technical liaison. Visits customers to learn new applications and/or identify new opportunities that are aligned with the regional sales force<BR><BR>Assists marketing in the development of marketing capital including websites, brochures and catalogs. <BR><BR>OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS<BR>Perform other duties as assigned or directed<BR>Understand, utilize and train others on the use of the Business Operating System.<BR>Provide reporting as requested by management.<BR>Participate in Kaizen or Rapid Improvement Events.<BR><BR>ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS<BR>Requires interaction with all functional areas of the organization.<BR>Requires interface with Sr. Management<BR><BR><BR>PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<BR>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, movement within office complex, write by hand and keyboard and general office functions.
