               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Lab Support Technician - Lab Specimen Proc/Disp<BR>Category: Clinical Support Services<BR>Facility: PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center<BR>Department: Laboratory - Specimen Processing<BR>Schedule: Regular-Non-Exempt<BR>Shift: Variable Shifts<BR>Job Details: <BR>* <BR>High school diploma or equivalent<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR>* <BR>Completed approved medical laboratory training program in previous 12 months or currently enrolled in practicum of affiliated medical laboratory technology program<BR>* <BR>May require 6 plus months phlebotomy experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience<BR>* <BR>May be required to be at least 21 years of age<BR>* <BR>WA State Health Care Assistant (HCA) Level A within 6 months of hire<BR>* <BR>May be required to have current, valid driver''s license (no history of DUI or major traffic infractions and not more than 1 moving violation in the prior 3 years) (loss of ability to be insured through Southwest may constitute removal from the position)<BR>* <BR>Good oral and interpersonal communication skills<BR>* <BR>Knowledge of specimen handling practices<BR>* <BR>Computer skills with ability to navigate multiple software sites simultaneously<BR>* <BR>Ability enter critical patient data quickly and accurately<BR>* <BR>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently or as part of a team<BR>* <BR>Must be detail oriented with strong problem solving skills<BR>* <BR>May require phlebotomy skills<BR>* <BR>Prefer: Graduation from a medical assistant program (AAMA accredited preferred), phlebotomy certification, National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) or American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification, medical terminology<BR>* <BR>Work requires the ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 </font></td>
