Manage all aspects and provide technical leadership of development including: architecture, design, development, prototype, validation; understand customer requirements and translate to technical deliverables, invent enabling technologies, deliver optimized solutions meeting all product requirements. Recruit, manage, and develop an efficient high-performance team, including internal and external resources. Develop strategies, project plans and budgets as appropriate. Assist in lab and program management through appropriate horizontal assignments. Personally foster and model teamwork, diversity, and respect for individuals.<BR><BR>Responsibilities<BR>* Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors coordinating, managing, and leading the engineering development and implementation of technologies and designs.<BR>* Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.<BR>* Communicates subsystem status and escalates issues to program managers, and internal and external development partners.<BR>* Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.<BR>* Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Education and Experience<BR>* BSME or Equivalent. May have advanced university degree.<BR>* Minimum 7 years printer hardware R&D experience across multiple programs. Media handling expertise preferred<BR>* Preferred minimum 2 years people management experience.<BR>* Demonstrated proficiency leading technical development projects and teams<BR>Knowledge and Skills<BR>* Demonstrated ability to manage technical risk, lead technical solutions, and drive business/technical tradeoffs.<BR>* Demonstrated strong people management, teambuilding, coaching and mentoring skills<BR>* Strong leadership skills and ability to influence peers, partners<BR>* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships<BR>* Demonstrated excellence in planning, organization, and prioritization<BR>* Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.<BR>* Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.<BR>* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.<BR>* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills<BR>* Strong commu </font></td>
