Participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of a physician. Participates in daily operations under the supervisor or manager.<BR>In this particular job opening, the Medical Assistant I will provide support for ambulatory outpatient services during rare instances of vacation, sick leaves and patient overflow coverage with the Salmon Creek Pediatric Physician Subspecialists of Child Abuse Assessment Team as well as the Pediatric Pulmonology, Pediatric Physiatry, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Follow-Up Appointments.<BR><BR> <BR><BR><BR>Job Qualifications: <BR><BR>Experience: Experience as a back office medical assistant in a clinic setting. One-year experience preferred.<BR>* <BR>Pediatric experience preferred<BR>* <BR>Past experience in specialty physician medical support preferred such as pulmonology, pediatric primary care, physiatry<BR>* <BR>Job involves medical assistant support for child abuse sexual and other forms of physical abuse and neglect. <BR>* <BR>Strong clerical supports and ability to multi-task a plus <BR>Education:Graduate of a medical assisting program or higher level training such as LPN; or proof of comparable military training equivalent to that of a certified medical assistant.<BR><BR>Certification/Licensure:<BR>Washington and Oregon<BR>Certified Medical Assistant preferred.<BR>Current CPR certification required.<BR>Specialized certification such as audiometry and spirometry may be required. <BR>State of Washington only<BR>Must be eligible for Washington State certification as a Health Care Assistant Levels A, C, and E, including completion of required Washington State AIDS training (including those who float into the role). Health Care Assistant Category C and E required for all who perform injections in the State of Washington within 6 months of hire (including those who float into the role). Health Care Assistant Category A for all employees who perform phlebotomy in the State of Washington (including those who float into the role) within 6 months of hire.<BR>Supports and models the Legacy Preferred Employee Profile. </font></td>
