Interviews patients/residents, takes medical histories and performs physical exams. Performs analysis, diagnoses and provides explanation of medical problems. Recommends and explains diagnostic tests and treatment. Instructs and educates patients/residents, facility staff and family members in preventive/other healthcare. Works in collaboration with the team and seeks the advice of team physician or consulting physician whenever a case falls outside the scope of practice of his/her expertise. The GNP may be involved in research activities, preceptoring of students and development of patient and/or staff education programs. <BR><BR><BR>Job Qualifications: <BR><BR>Education:<BR>As required by licensure.<BR><BR>Experience:<BR>Minimum of two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred. Relevant experience in geriatrics/long-term care settings desirable. <BR>Licensure:<BR>Current applicable state Board of Nursing Licensure required.<BR>Current applicable state Nurse Practitioner Certification with Prescription privileges required.<BR>Basic Life Support (CPR).<BR>Supports and models the Legacy Preferred Provider Profile.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                </font></td>
