Assigned principal responsibility for primary health care of patients under professional medical direction from physicians. Seeks the expert opinion or advice of a physician whenever the incumbent decides a case falls outside the scope authorized by policies and protocol. The Nurse Practitioner plans and implements and a physician reviews and confirms health care goals for patients.<BR><BR>The Nurse Practitioner may remain responsible for the patient throughout the course of the treatment or responisible for a period of time during treatment, providingthe physical examination, the diagnosis, and the health care plan, determines when the patient has recovered, and releases the patient, in collaboration with the attending physician.<BR><BR>This job is for use with employees having irregular, unscheduled hours such as on-call, supplemental, and per-diem and who work in Acute or Critical Care, Inpatient settings. <BR><BR><BR>Job Qualifications: <BR><BR>QUALIFICATIONS:<BR><BR>Education:<BR>As required by licensure. <BR>Experience:<BR>Clinical experience requirements are dependent upon the specific position, and include a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field. <BR>Licensure/Certification:<BR>Current applicable state RN license required.<BR>National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) required.<BR>Current applicable state license as a Nurse Practitioner w/Prescriptive Privileges (NP-PP) required.<BR>Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II priveleges.<BR>Current certification dependent upon the specific position to include Basic Life Support (CPR). </font></td>
