We are based in Vancouver, Washington, working on heavy civil projects up and down the West Coast in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii. Our diverse mix of projects includes airport runways, mine development, earth-fill and concrete dams, breakwaters and jetties, utilities and infrastructure, and asphalt and concrete paving. <BR><BR>To learn more about Northwest District please to go www.kiewit.com/northwest. <BR><BR>Tasks <BR><BR>-Write and organize job site safety plans. <BR>-Establish the weekly general safety meeting, weekly supervisor’s safety meeting and/or gang box safety meetings. <BR>-Provide safety program documentation, record keeping, document posting, trenching and scaffold permitting, and regulatory compliance documentation. <BR>-Coordinates inspections and testing as necessary for required permits, including, confined space, hot work and trenching. <BR>-Coordinate with risk manager on overall program, injury and citation management, OSHA/MSHA reporting requirements, and other applicable matters. <BR>-Coordinate and conduct safety training and new hire orientation. <BR>-Provide for basic first aid, primary medical care, advanced medical care, and emergency transportation. <BR>-Manage injuries to assure a high level of medical care and to minimize accident reports and lost time.<BR><BR>Requirements <BR><BR>Working toward an undergraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent degree/work experience. <BR>- Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements. <BR>- Effective written and verbal communication skills. <BR>- Experience with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. <BR>- Strong organization/time management skills. <BR>- Strong work ethic. Willing to do what it takes to get the job done. <BR>- The ability to work independently as well as a part of a team. <BR>- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment. <BR>- Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.</font></td>
