               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Central Processing Technician<BR>Department: WVH OR<BR>Schedule: Full Time<BR>Shift: Evening<BR>Hours: 2:00pm- 10:30 pm<BR>Job Details: <BR>* <BR>JOB DEFINITION: Prepares, tracks, and sterilizes equipment and instruments in an accurate and timely manner. Orders and maintains stock of medical supplies. Prepares operating room case carts, sterile trays and supplies.<BR>REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:Orders, restocks and decontaminates sterilization equipment and instruments.  Sorts, loads, unloads and decontaminates equipment and instruments, according to procedures. Cleans, repackages, and sterilizes instruments. Assembles trays, sets, packages, instruments and equipment and prepares items for sterilization. Decontaminates, restocks and assembles case carts and surgical trays. Ensures supplies are stocked and ready for immediate use. Performs quality control through routine testing and cleaning to assure sterilization equipment and instruments are functioning properly. Inspects equipment, instruments, and packaging for cleanliness, defects and/or malfunctions. Documents sterilization cycle. Labels products with sterilization date. Performs other duties as assigned or required.<BR>Requirements: Completion of Central Service Technical Training and Certification is required within one year of hire. Home study will be necessary.
