<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Physician Recruiter<BR>Department: Human Resources<BR>Schedule: Full Time<BR>Shift: Day<BR>Hours: Exempt<BR>Job Details: <BR>* Bachelor''s Degree<BR>* <BR>OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR>Primarily responsible for administering a recruitment and selection process for physician and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs).<BR><BR>JOB FUNCTIONS:<BR>1. Tracks all current and potential vacancies, clarifies position requirements, and assists with the development of job descriptions and other candidate informational materials. Coordinates the team involved for assigned vacancies.<BR>2. Prepares advertisements and other promotional materials.<BR>3. Stays abreast of the availability of candidates and competitive trends and develops innovative recruiting strategies.<BR>4. Assists with the recruiting budget.<BR>5. Develops effective recruiting contacts with training programs, medical schools and specialty groups.<BR>6. Contacts candidates directly to explore their interest in a potential relationship with WVMC. Maintains a file and database of qualified candidates for reference when appropriate openings occur.<BR>7. Coordinates the delivery of WVMC information to potential candidates.<BR>8. Obtains lists of references from potential candidates.<BR>9. Assures that pre-credentialing has taken place prior to an interview.<BR>10. Informs candidates of WVMC policies, practices, attributes and fringe benefits, as well as the nature of the community and surrounding region.<BR>11. Coordinates reference checking with physicians and others involved in the recruitment process.<BR>12. Develops an on site interview team and selection process which utilizes defined assessment criteria, interview questions related to each criteria and written assessments. Consults with the team members concerning the conduct of the interview process to assure that all required information is obtained.<BR>13. Coordinates the physician/APC and spouse?s interview visit. Determines the necessary travel and housing arrangements and sets up the schedule of interviews and other events.<BR>14. Meets with each candidate during their visit to explain the process. Interviews each candidate and documents the assessment.<BR>15. Follows up on the visit with the candidate and advises them of their status.<BR>16. Participates in the orientation of newly hired physicians and APCs.<BR>17. Coordinates the placement of assigned locum tenens physicians.<BR>18. Coordinates physician recruiting for the branch campuses.<BR>19. Arranges employment details (i.e. contract, moving, malpractice insurance, licensing, office set-up, transition to community, etc.)<BR>20. Helps assure that the WVMC website (www.wvmedical.com) is current as it applies to physician and APC recruiting.<BR>21.
