We provide a secure base of aluminum starting stock like ingots and billets for each of Alcoa''s downstream aluminum businesses, such as Mill Products and Extrusions. We also supply products to a broad external customer base in all major markets. In addition to unalloyed aluminum ingot, we produce value-added forms of primary aluminum that include billet, rolling ingot, cast rod and various casting alloys.<BR><BR>Alcoa is looking for a Public Relations Specialist for the Wenatchee Works smelter in Malaga, Washington. Alcoa Wenatchee Works opened in 1952. Wenatchee Works is a primary aluminum smelter located eleven miles south of the city of Wenatchee, Chelan County, Washington. The plant itself covers 100 acres adjacent to the Columbia River. Wenatchee Works is part of Alcoa''s Global Primary Products business unit, a world leader in Smelting and Casting of aluminum.<BR><BR>The Public Relations Specialist will report to the Plant HR Manager with a dotted line into the Plant Manager. Key responsibilities will be serving as the primary mechanism for developing, improving and sustaining communications in the facility, the organization, the community and with governmental entities.<BR><BR>Additional Responsibilities<BR><BR>* Accountable for all aspects of the community framework, developing and maintaining relationships with the community leaders, business groups, non-profits and elected officials as well as serving as the primary media contact for Wenatchee Works<BR><BR>* Overses employee communication programs, using communication vehicles including newsletters, portal, emails, social media, letters to homes and bulletin boards to improve communications to promote and sustain a culture of engagement and productivity<BR><BR>* Oversee all charitable contributions, sponsorships and advertising and manages the Alcoa Foundation grants<BR><BR>* Support the Plant Manager with internal and external communications efforts<BR><BR>Skills<BR><BR>* Strong oral and written communication skills<BR><BR>* Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects<BR><BR>* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and communicate with all levels of employees<BR><BR>* Ability to develop on-going relationships with community leaders and elected officials<BR>Expert level skill siwth Microsoft Office<BR><BR>Note:For internal candidates this could be a JG 14-16 depending on qualifications and experience.<BR>Basic Qualifications <BR>* Bachelor''s Degree<BR><BR>* <BR>* 2 years of progressively responsible work experience with internal/external, business </font></td>
