This position is considered expert in the technical aspects of security and able to make solid and well thought out technical recommendations to the CIO, technical and clinical staff and managers.<BR><BR>JOB FUNCTIONS<BR>ESSENTIAL:<BR>User Management<BR>1.         Establish and maintain policies, systems, procedures and processes for user management.<BR>2.         Audit user accounts for appropriate security access and activity<BR>Audit<BR>3.         Recommend and maintain security audit strategies for hardware and applications.<BR>4.         Ensure WVMC is prepared for Office of Civil Rights privacy and other audits and that there are adequate plans and processes for preventing, reporting and mitigating breaches of information and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements<BR><BR>Perimeter Security<BR>5.         Assist in the implementation and maintenance of standards and systems for perimeter security and remote access.<BR>6.         Assist in the auditing of those systems<BR><BR>Security Policy<BR>7.         Work with Clinic and IT staff to maintain and enforce security policy for information systems hardware and software applications.<BR>8.         Communicate security standards to IT and Clinic staff<BR>9.         Assist in planning and implementation of security and HIPAA Policy, including best practice processes.<BR><BR>Strategic planning<BR>10.       Assist in the creation and maintenance of short and long term enterprise security plans.<BR>11.       Help develop and implement security plans for use during disaster recovery and in conjunction with redundancy planning.<BR><BR>Hardware devices & software, new technologies, projects<BR>12.       Assist in planning (including cost estimates), design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, & support of security devices, new technologies, software and management tools.<BR><BR>Change management & patching<BR>13.       Provide security review of change requests.<BR>14.       Initiate change requests when required for security system upgrades and configuration changes. <BR>15.       Assist in identification of required patches to network devices, servers, & workstations. .    <BR><BR><BR>Network performance & operations<BR>16.       Assist in the identification of security breaches & respond to these breaches<BR>17.       Help with auditing of the network and creating & maintaining security incident response procedures.<BR><BR>Internal Network Data and Device Security<BR>18.       Oversee standards and controls to secure internal data, file shares, application access and general user access controls.<BR>19.       Oversee policies and procedures to control internal workstations, BYOD devices, and mo                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        </font></td>
