JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Millwright Mechanic for our client company in Woodland, WA
Summary: Millwright / Facility Mechanic needed for a project installing production equipment at a production facility. Will be responsible for installing a used palletizing machine in the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Estimates materials, quantities and time needed to perform tasks.
Maintains service, repair, and other records as required.
Ensures the facility is safe and all hazards are fixed.
May occasionally operate forklift or pallet jack to assist in loading and moving materials and products.
Install machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other specifications.
May set up and operate machine tools, such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to operate or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas.
Cleans machines with sandpaper, solvent, and wiping rags to prepare surfaces for painting.
Oils and greases machines.
Reports needs to major repairs to supervisor or Facilities Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions including reading blue prints.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Ability to receive, track and distribute materials, supplies and equipment.
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
Ability to do small motor repair
Need some exposure to electrical but do not need full electrician.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Moderate physical activity, may require standing and/or walking for more than 4 hours per day.
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 50lbs.
Must be physically able to bend, stoop, climb and reach.
Must be comfortable in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
Skills & Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Required.
Experience in a manufacturing facility
Experience installing equipment with little to no supervision.
