               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Satellite Broadcast Technician (RF, Baseband Experience Required)<BR>Location: WA-Yakima<BR>Job Number:_1201445<BR>DIRECTV&#39;s Technical Services Department is seeking a Satellite Broadcast Technician located at our uplink facility in Yakima, WA. This is a challenging position working with some of the latest HD/SD television equipment and technologies. <BR><BR>The Satellite Broadcast Technician will be responsible for the following:<BR>* Installation, diagnosis and maintenance of critical on-air video, audio, RF, baseband, signal processing, transport and transmission equipment.<BR>* Ensure consistent, high quality analog and digital television signal transports and satellite transmissions. <BR>* Troubleshoot a variety of television broadcast, transport, and transmission equipment.<BR>* Install cabling and new equipment.<BR>* Perform routine maintenance.<BR>* Training and development of new employees.<BR>* Assist in project research, design, planning, implementation, procedure documentation and training.<BR>* Develop a base knowledge of site facility systems and assist with emergency building system repairs as needed.<BR><BR>* Associates degree, certificate or equivalent specialized training in electronics and/or related systems is preferred.<BR>* 3-5 years technical maintenance experience with electronics, communication, television broadcast, high power amplifiers (Klystrons/TWT&#39;s), antenna tracking systems, up/downlink signal processors, transport and transmission systems such as analog/digital receivers, digital video compression systems (MPEG2/MPEG4), network adapters, video/audio routers, DA&#39;s, patch panels, converters, switchers, multiplexers, modulators, demodulators, television network and control automation required.<BR>* Experience must include a strong background in troubleshooting, analyzing relationships between components within television systems and it transport systems, conducting routine maintenance and utilizing transport and spectrum analyzers, waveform/vector scopes, and other test equipment required.<BR>* Experience installing cabling and new equipment, interpreting wiring diagrams/schematics and working with engineers to test and integrate new systems required.<BR>* Must possess a good background with LAN, WAN, and computer technologies including the ability to learn various computer applications and internal programs critical to television broadcast processing and transport required.<BR>* Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced team focused environment with changing priorities.<BR>* The uplink facility is a 24x7 facility and requires the ability to work various shifts, including holidays and overtime. <BR>* All candidates must be willing to carry a company provided on-call phone and must reside less than 45 minutes from the main uplink facility.<BR>* All candidates must be able to climb 30ft. and have the dexterity to work in confined spaces down to 16 cubic ft.<BR>* All candidates must be able to lift 100 pounds.<BR>* All candidates must possess a valid driver&#39                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               </font></td>
