The position provides an opportunity to deveop and provide training that supports some of our nation''s fundamental defense services. GDAIS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to perform technical activities that impact the design and manufacturing of advanced electronic systems. The employee will also enjoy a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded.  Specific responsibilities include:Instruct military and contractor personnel in a classroom and on the job training (OJT) environments for government custom applications, interactive environment simulators and physical inspection equipment; Develop and maintain classroom and computer based training curriculum to include lesson plans, briefings, handouts and exercises; Develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities; Update course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance; Update and create technical documentation (user guides) to support the military operating environment, including content management. Create and maintain a system to track existing and/or required training records for military personnel and contractors.Report on training activities to program management and NAVY commands.   Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of advanced electronics systems, and the ability to further advance and support GDAIS role in Nuclear Weapon Surety.The Senior Training Specialist position requires an associates or bachelors degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent, and two to five years of related experience; or a masters degree with zero to two years of related experience. Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
