JOB SUMMARY:

Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

 

About the Position: Serves as a civil engineering specialist with responsibility for developing cost estimates for large and complex civil works systems and components used in civil projects, powerhouses, recreation facilities, navigation projects, flood protection projects, and IIS Work for Other Program preparing cost estimates for one of a kind construction projects.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.

Current Army civilian employee - I am a current Army employee with competitive status (includes Army employees serving on a career or career-conditional appointment). (SF-50 Block 24-Tenure must be a "1" or "2" AND Block 34 must be a"1.") (NOTE: You MUST submit a copy of your latest, non-award SF-50 reflecting your highest grade held on a permanent basis with your application package).

Temporary Army employee with reinstatement eligibility - I am a current Department of Army employee on a temporary or term appointment (current SF-50 Block 24-Tenure states "0" or "3") who has previously held a career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service. (NOTE: You MUST submit a copy of your most recent, non-award SF-50 that reflects your highest grade held on a permanent basis (Block 34-Position Occupied must be "1" and Block 24-Tenure must be "1" or "2") with your application package.
