This is an Excepted Service position under Title 42 - Senior Biomedical Research Service (SBRS). The SBRS facilitates the recruitment of high level scientific researchers and leaders that are essential to fulfill the research and evaluation mission of the National Institute for Occupational Health and Satety (NIOSH). An individual must be considered by his or her peers as outstanding in the field of clinical research evaluation OR biomedical research. Applications will be accepted from all groups of qualified persons, including non-citizens and Public Health Service Commissioned Officers. No previous federal experience is required. This appointment does not confer any entitlement to a position in the competitive service and no entitlement to Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) appeal rights. Executive level compensation package is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is located in the Health Effects Laboratory Division (HELD) within the National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH), in Morgantown, West Virginia.
