This position is located in the Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration, Approval and Certification Center (MSHA A&CC), in Triadelphia, WV. This position is in the Electrical Safety Division. The Division is responsible for administering the permissibility requirements of Title 30, Code of Federal Regulations Parts 5, 7, and 18 thru 28. The Division responds to requests from manufacturers, mine operators, MSHA offices, and other federal and state agencies when expert knowledge and experience are needed in meeting and applying the permissibility standards and criteria of many diverse electrical equipment, components and instrumentation.
This position has promotion potential to GS-12. Promotion Potential: There is no obligation to provide future promotions to you if you are selected. Future promotions are dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and supervisory approval. This position is inside the bargaining unit. Relocation costs will not be paid.
