Support, maintenance and backup for various systems (such as operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications). ? Communicate with the respective teams ? Ensure all daily deliverables are met. ? Communication to management (heads up of issues, business impact , mitigation plan, resolution plan, statuses, Escalation procedure) ? Create and manage system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures. ? Participate in the definition and implementation of system components including news servers, hardware, software and upgrades. Requirements: ? 2-3 years experience in a Systems Administrator capacity. ? 6 years experience with Linux, Red-Hat variants and Ubuntu ? 2-3 years experience with Linux networking including FTP, Routing, Firewalls (IPtables), Shared file systems ? 2-3 years with Apache (installing, configuring, virtual hosting, experience with proxy and mod_rewrite) ? 2-3 years experience with Tomcat or other J2EE application servers, PHP, installing and working with Coldfusion Server ? Previous experience installing, managing, and working with SQL Server MySQL (should be able to write SQL) ? Experience with virtualization - VMware and Xen ? Build master experience including: - Management of dev/stage/production environments - Configuration management - Source code control including SVN and GIT Preferences: ? Experience with Windows webhosting (IIS 6 and 7, .Net applications) preferred but not required. Personality Requirements: ? Strong analytical skills ? ability to translate data to strategy ? Ability to think creatively and strategically ? Excellent organization and time management skills ? Visual design skills are a strong plus ? Conceptual thinking, presentation skills at a high level. ? A drive for wanting to build products from the user's point of view ? Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal assistance from fellow team members ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Ability to work and communicate pro-actively with business owners, and clients Cultural Requirements: ? Passionate.
