SUMMARYThe Community Outreach, Impact and Investment Assistant will work as an integral part of a fast-paced investment and community impact department to include grant writing activities. Working closely with volunteers and staff the Assistant will aid partner agencies in the preparation of grant materials, outcome measurement strategies, as well as other areas of work, as requested or as time permits. The Outreach, Impact and Investment Assistant will help to assure that each funded partner develops measurable outcomes and indicators for each program funded by United Way of Southwest Wyoming. Assistance in developing collaborative working relationships with community nonprofits, both partner and non-partner agencies. Other responsibilities include assistance in the coordination of the Gifts in Kind, FamilyWize and Dolly Parton Imagination Library programs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSand#149; Assist in community outreach to ensure maximum residential participation. Build relationships with civic, business, faith community, clubs and other organizations or individual as needed to promote the United Way in Southwest Wyoming.and#149; Provide technical assistance to grantees accessing the United Way funding process.and#149; Assist in the development of educational workshops for funded partners, community stakeholders and United Way Volunteers.and#149; Assist in developing and maintaining positive relations with a broad cross-section of the community and coordinate communication and information flow to stakeholders. This includes fostering relationships with potential partners to implement quality, collaborative programming.and#149; Work with community organizations to plan and develop programs that meet with United Way of Southwest Wyomingapos;s Strategic Plan.and#149; Organize and coordinate with other local service providers and interested groups a volunteer task force to assist community members.and#149; Organize community meetings and events, as necessary.and#149; Prepare flyers, press releases and other outreach materials as required.and#149; Assist grant-writing efforts to secure fundingand#149; Assist with placement and supervision of volunteersand#149; Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to working as part of team for program and event coordination.
