About the Position: The Alaska District mission provides a full spectrum of quality engineering, technical, and construction support services in support of peacetime and contingency operations in Alaska and throughout the Pacific Region. We are currently executing the largest program in our District's history, which is also one of the largest programs within the Corps of Engineers worldwide family. The Alaska District partners with many customers on a diversified workload. Emphasis is on program management with government project delivery teams offering customers cradle to grave project management. We employ approximately 600 professional Department of Defense civilians. Our Northern Area Office on Fort Wainwright, near Fairbanks, manages construction north of the Alaska Mountain Range and our Southern Area Office on Fort Richardson, near Anchorage, manages construction south of the Alaska Range.
