JOB SUMMARY:

Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position: This position is with the Alaska Civilian Personnel Advisory Center and is responsible for providing complex classification, recruitment and placement services for Fort Richardson, Fort Wainwright and Fort Greely.

About the Location:  Fairbanks Alaska is host to many different cultures; unique shopping and dining facilities; as well as sporting activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, snowboarding, and skiing; and viewing of spectacular Northern Lights displays and larger than life ice sculptures. Population of Fairbanks is about 87,000. Winter brings consistent snow conditions from November through March. Winter temperatures average 8 degrees F to -19 degrees F; summer temperatures rise into the 70s and 80s.

The advertised salary does not include our current rate of 5.57% tax free Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).

 

Salary includes applicable locality pay or local market supplement.

PCS (Relocation) costs may be authorized.
