Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position: You will serve as a board certified Psychiatrist at MEDDAC-AK, Community Mental Health, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

 

About the Location : Fairbanks is host to many different cultures; unique shopping and dining facilities as well as sporting activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, snowboarding and skiing. We have spectacular views of the Northern Lights and larger than life ice sculptures. Population is about 87,000. Winter brings consistent snow conditions from November through March. Winter temperatures average 8 degrees F to -19 degrees F; summer temperatures rise into the 70s and 80s.

 

The advertised salary is for full time, 40 hours per week.  This position is part time, 20 hours per week.

 

The advertised salary does not include our current rate of 5.57% tax free Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).

 

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.

 

We are offering a 25% Relocation/Recruitment Bonus.
