About the Position:
This position is located with US Army Contracting Command, Huachuca Division, Fort Huachuca, AZ. You will serve as a Contract Specialist responsible for pre-award and post-award functions, including cost/price analysis, negotiation, and administration for a variety of mission supply, service and/or research and development requirements at a Major Army Subordinate Command central buying activity. Requirements typically involve specialized equipment or professional and technical services for regional or worldwide support of the Army's Information Management Area and or base operations supplies, services and construction. During the life cycle of assigned acquisitions, work may be characterized by a preponderance of pre-award (contract negotiator) or post-award (contract administrator) duties.
As a senior contract specialist assigned to an operating division of the Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, (APG), Huachuca Division, accomplishes the most complex of the organization's contracting actions working alone or as the lead contract specialist for an action team.
