JOB SUMMARY:

Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:  Serves as a Civilian Personnel Human Resource Specialist (Human Resources Development) and civilian personnel advisor for the US Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM, ACofS, G-1, Civilian Human Resources Division). This is a high performing division consisting of 10 HR specialists providing command wide policy and oversight of all aspects of civilian personnel to a growing cadre of employees.  NETCOM has a mission as the single authority to operate, manage, and protect the Army's enterprise level infrastructure, and is a direct reporting unit to HQDA assigned to the Army CIO/G6. NETCOM delivers seamless enterprise level Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Technology common user services and war fighting support forces to the combatant commanders and Army Service Component Commanders. The command employs a workforce of civilian, Foreign National, and military personnel located throughout the United States and dispersed worldwide to include remote areas (KUWAIT, SAUDI, and QATAR) with some volatile sites and politically sensitive missions downrange.
