This position is located in Lakewood Colorado in the Branch of Habitat Restoration and serves as a Program Specialist for the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Coastal Programs. The Branch of Habitat and Resource Conservation is responsible for the management and administration of the Service's Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program, Coastal Program and liaison to USDA on Farm Bill issues.
The Program Specialist serves as the primary database manager for the Habitat Information Tracking Systems (HabITS). The Specialist works with higher graded staff on activities within the Branch of Habitat Restoration, including developing national guidance, training, performance planning and reporting, outreach, and related activities that affect: (1) habitat restoration and conservation on private and public lands; (2) partnership development; and (3) habitat assessments.
