This position is in the Office of Regulations and Interpretations (ORI), a major component of the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA). EBSA is responsible for administering and securing compliance with the provisions of Title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), as well as certain provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and the Federal Employees Retirement System Act. The Office of Regulations and Interpretations is comprised of three Divisions, the Division of Fiduciary Interpretations, the Division of Coverage, Reporting and Disclosure, and the Division of Regulations. The incumbent, as a professional assigned to one of the Office’s Divisions, provides technical and policy guidance on a wide range of interpretive, regulatory, enforcement and legislative issues for which the Office is responsible.
