About the Position:

This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.  This position is located at the Key West, Florida.

As a Command Action Group(CAG) Intelligence Specialist at Joint Interagency Task Force South, you will work in the Command Group Directorate in Key West and be supervised by the Chief, Command Action Group Program Manager. You will conduct all-source intelligence analysis and production to support tactical, operational and strategic planners and decision-makers involved in counter illicit trafficking (CIT) detection and monitoring operations. You will work in a unique joint environment with all military services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard) and a multitude of interagencies   (e.g., CBP, DEA, FBI, HSI). This is an opportunity to work with professionals who are truly committed to an important national mission.

Key West is a beautiful resort area with tourists year-round and a very cosmopolitan mix of residents. Opportunities for outdoor and cultural activities abound. Key West is a three-hour drive from Miami. Be prepared for extremely high off-base housing costs; as an alternative to the lack of affordable housing, civilians are authorized to rent government quarters on Naval Air Station Key West.
