About the Position:
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Office of the Enterprise Services Division (J61)of the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence Systems (C41) Directorate, Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF South), Truman Annex, Key West, FL. Serves as customer service, hardware installation, and trouble-shooting technician responsible for integration of Information Technology (IT) capabilities. JIATF South consists of elements from the Dept. of Defense(DOD), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), US Coast Guard (USCG): agencies such as FBI, DEA, DIA, and State Dept.; allied military and polices forces. JIATF South is a fully integrated national task force organized to realize the force multiplier effect of the various agencies whose goal is to effectively plan, direct, and conduct detection and monitoring of illegal drug activities.

Be prepared for extremely high off-base housing costs; as an alternative to the lack of affordable housing, civilians are authorized to rent government quarters on Naval Air Station Key West, subject to availability.
