Viera is located on the east coast of Florida, near Melbourne. It has benefits of a coastal town and nearby big cities of Orlando and Daytona. The Viera Veterans Affair (VA) Clinic serves approximately 24,000 veterans per year with continued growth of approximately 3% per year. An applicant would be joining a growing primary care department of 22 primary care physicians, 4 mid level providers and a full complement of diagnostic and specialty services available to support the primary care team. There are academic opportunities to be involved with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in medical student teaching and eventually resident teaching. Research opportunities are also available through Orlando VA Medical Center.
