The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is a consolidated health care system that includes VA medical centers in Montgomery and Tuskegee Alabama as well as Community Based Outpatient Clinincs in Dothan, Alabama and Columbus Georgia. The primary duty station for this position is at the Columbus CBOC. The incumbent will be required to work on site at the other locations as required.
One vacancy exists at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care system (CAVHCS), for a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Outpatient Clinic. The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the day to day clinical operation of the clinic. This includes regular assessment with the administrative officer for the clinic of building function for safety and effectiveness and facilitation of necessary corrective actions. These may include efforts by clinic staff, by other VA staff (i.e. Facilites Management Service), or by the DOD sharing partners). It also includes maintaining effective teamwork among clinic staff.
