Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:

MOVING EXPENSES MAY BE PAID.

COMPETITIVE RECRUITMENT AND RELOCATION INCENTIVES MAY BE PAID (UP TO 25% OF YOUR SALARY).

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

Serves on call as Medical Officer of the Day on regular rotation with other physicians in the Internal Medicine Service.  Call constitutes being available for all emergency medical consultations on the assigned day.  May serve as acting supervisor of Internal Medicine during the supervisor’s absence. Provides assistance to the supervisor as requested in administrative matters dealing with personnel.

May require to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Must be board certified in Internal Medicine from the American Board.
