This position is located in the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) whose primary objectives are to aggressively pursue the reclamation of abandoned mine lands (AML) and to prevent environmental problems in the coalfields by working through the State agencies. The Program Support Division, located in the Mid Continent Region Office is looking for an experienced Information Technology Specialist to provide leadership within the MCR and State offices to include IT project coordination with regional staff and development of region wide standards and procedures.

This position is being advertised concurrently with OSM-2012-0017 (MP) Merit Promotion Competitive Procedures.  Only one position will be filled from these vacancy announcements. Candidates who wish to be considered under both DEU and Merit Promotion procedures MUST apply to both vacancy announcements separately.
