We are currently accepting applications for a Physician Leader, as the Chief of our Extended Care Service.  This is an exceptional career opportunity to use your clinical and management skills in all areas of Geriatric and Palliative Care to make a real difference and continue to elevate the standard of excellence.  The position will provide you the opportunity to oversee care delivery to our veterans at our attractive 60-bed Community Living Center (CLC), located in Marion, Illinois as well as in other areas of Home-Based Primary Care (HBPC), Palliative Care, Home Telehealth (HT), Geriatric Consultation and various Non-institutional Care (NIC) programs.  The Marion VAMC is a proud service provider to 43,000 veterans and Southern Illinois has an attractive country side, hilly and wooded topography with lakes and ponds, and easy access to St. Louis, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee. In recent years the facility and the Extended Care service have demonstrated remarkable achievements as also reflected in successful regulatory visits and surveys, and in performance management. This is a leadership position with administrative support and a very collegial work environment. 

Tour of Duty:  Days, Additional hours required dependent upon patient care/organizational needs.
