Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:

COMPETITIVE RECRUITMENT AND RELOCATION INCENTIVES WILL BE PAID (UP TO 25% OF YOUR SALARY).

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

Physician must be board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.  This must be stated on your resume.

May include shift work or rotating shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays).

Position is designated as Emergency Essential.

Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential.

Duty location:  You will be working at Ireland Army Community Hospital located at Fort Knox, KY.
