Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Doctor of Gastroenterology degree required. Completion of an internship and residency in Family Practice/Internal Medicine.
The work involves walking, standing and sitting.
May be required to adjust medical equipment and on a rare occasion may move special medical equipment from one location to another within the clinic.
May be required on occasion to assist in transporting an acutely ill patient to the Emergency Room (ER) or Progessive Care Unit (PCU).
Works in well-lighted, air-conditioned and heated offices.
Required to wear a uniform and use personal protective equipment as required and provided by the employer.
