The Huntington VA Medical Center is looking for Primary Care Physicians at our Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Outpatient Clinic.  Prestonsburg is located in Floyd County, Kentucky right off the "Country Music Highway."  The area offers many outdoor activities and is located very near Paintsville and Pikeville, Kentucky. 

 

Will the Department of Veterans Affairs Pay for me to move? Yes - Standard Relocation/Moving Expenses MAY authorized for this position.  However, the Guaranteed Home Buy Option (GHBO) is NOT authorized for this position.

 

You MAY be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), based on the availability of funds. 

Applicant(s) selected for this position may be eligible for a Recruitment or Relocation Incentive (up to 25%) and which requires the selectee to sign a service agreement.  The amount of the incentive to be paid will be determined based on the qualifications of the selectee.  The incentive will be a set percentage of the selectee's annual rate of basic pay in effect at the beginning of the service period.   This will be the total amount of the incentive, and for which the distribution of payments for the service period to be determined by management.  

 

This position will remain open until filled.  This vacancy will have multiple cut-off dates.  The first cut-off date will be August 15 with subsequent cut-off dates of the 1st and 15th of the month.  Management retains the right to make additional selections as positions become available.
