About the Position:
Serve as Charge Nurse and Telephone Triage Nurse, in the Department of Specialty Services for the surgical services of General Surgery, Orthopedics/Podiatry, ENT, Ophthalmology and other non-surgical areas as needed.
Performs comprehensive telephone and clinical triaging and facilitates continuity of care through a multidisciplinary approach. The knowledge of self-care management tools and guidelines should be followed. Knowledge of data entry and documentation standards is necessary. Establishes priorities for patient care and evaluates patients' progress toward high-level wellness. Provide patient education as an integral part of the services offered. Patients are in all groups from newborn to geriatric.
