Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:

COMPETITIVE RECRUITMENT AND RELOCATION INCENTIVES WILL BE PAID (UP TO 25% OF YOUR SALARY).

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Physician be board-eligible or board certified in a Primary Care Specialty (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine).

Will be required to work 12 hour rotating shifts that will include days, evenings, nights, week-ends, and/or holidays. Employee may be required to pull overnight call (24 hour shift) with the following day off as compensation.

This position is a TERM position. It is temporary and may be extended up to a maximum of four years.

Duty location: You will work in the Family Practice Department of the US Army Medical Command at Fort Polk, LA.
