The Joint Task Force National Capital Region Medicine (JTF CapMed) is the future of Military Medicine- a partnership in World Class Medical Healthcare.  The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, Dilorenzo Clinic and the Joint Pathology Center, provide world class medical services to the nation's service members and their families.

About the Position:
Applications will be reviewed and referred for selection at periodic cut-off dates specifically the 15th of each month.

Serves as a Physician (Positron Emission Tomography (PET)  Researcher) for the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, for the Interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment planning for Warriors with mild traumatic brain Injury (TBI) and psychological health (PH) issues resulting from battle-related exposure.

This position requires an individual with experience performing positron emission tomography (PET) research, who also is qualified to read radiological images. 

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
