JOB SUMMARY:

The mission of the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) is to conduct research in the field of radiobiology and related matters essential to the operational and medical support of the Department of Defense and the military services.   AFRRI also provides services and performs cooperative research with other federal and civilian agencies and institutions.

This position is located in the Research Support Group (RSG), Scientific Directorate.  The mission of the RSG is to facilitate, encourage and support the research activities of AFRRI scientists in the Scientific Research department.  In that capacity, the position develops, reviews, and coordinates the Institute's Good Laboratory practices (GLP) program.  You will be responsible for the overall management of the GLP program and oversee standard operating procedure development and maintenance, equipment management, GLP training, and GLP archiving.  In addition, you will be responsible for directing GLP program personnel and serve as the Institute's GLP point of contact for internal and external offices and agencies.
