Who We Are
The Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center consists of a single VHA facility with an independent Skilled Care and Rehabilitation (SCR) Center located in Saginaw, Michigan that has 81 operating beds. The VAMC provides primary and secondary medical services, ambulatory surgical services, and outpatient psychiatric services and has 96 authorized hospital beds for inpatient care. Approximately 300,000 outpatient visits were provided at the Saginaw VA Medical Center in the last year to Veterans who live in the Central and Northern 35 counties of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. The VAMC also has Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Alpena, Bad Axe, Cadillac, Cheboygan, Clare, Gaylord, Oscoda and Traverse City Michigan. This VA Medical Center is affiliated with educational programs at several institutions, including the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. The Medical Center is located in Saginaw, Michigan, the heart of the Great Lakes region.
