How would you like to become a part of a team providing compassionate care to Veterans?

Permanent part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) vacancies with a variety of hours and schedules.  Part-time hours vary from 16 to 32 hours per week, and shifts vary and/or rotate through days, evenings, and nights. This vacancy announcement will be used to fill vacancies as they occur within the Extended Care Service Line at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. You will be an integral member of a team devoted to providing the best possible care to our nations' veterans and helping the Minneapolis VA Health Care System and the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 23 meet its mission.

This vacancy announcement is open for a period of one year. At such time a vacancy occurs in the Extended Care Service Line, applications received up to that point will be analyzed for qualifications. Qualified applicants will be referred to the selecting official for consideration.

NOTE:  GRADE TO BE DETERMINDED BY A PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS BOARD.

The full performance level of this occupation is GS-6.  The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is GS-3 to GS-6.  The Professional Standards Board (a peer-review group) will review the selected candidate’s education and experience and recommend the grade and step at which the candidate will be placed.  The salary is based on the grade and step approved for the selected candidate.
